I wouldn't mind alternative and switchable access methods (like an app icon instead of a gesture). (I fully understand that one can pretty much always access anything on a device one has access to physically, especially on a jailbroken device, but a little somewhat superficial barrier is better than none)
It is possible to go to the settings menu and change the password granting one access to the Hidden Space effectively without authentication. One downside to this (and of other app locking tweaks like ]) is the lack of a blur on the app switcher. I plan on not using that tweak on apps I've hidden with Spore (rendered redundant in my eyes), but the behavior is interesting. I think this is a ] quirk, but sometimes when switching back to an application, the BioProtect auth dialog appears and when authenticated the app then crashes. Could this be altered a or made alterable? The unlock message on Touch ID devices says 'Touch ID for "Springboard"'. u/opa334 does provide a library to integrate Crane with other tweaks, but integration isn't really the issue here. For me, this is a problem.īecause of this it doesn't play as nicely as I'd like with Lars Fröder's ]. This is replaced by the Spore notification menu. One can't access the context menu for apps. Use biometrics to unlock the Hidden Spaceĭetailed usage example in the tweak itselfĭeveloped by Concept designed by is great, but it has some drawbacks that are problematic. Optionally block notifications for hidden apps Use a custom passcode that is different from your phones Hide from Spotlight, Siri suggestions, App Store. Your custom passcode is securely stored on your device and will never be exposed to external servers. If you want more security, you can enable a custom passcode in Spore’s preferences, which can be different from the passcode to unlock your phone. Accessing the Hidden Space is as easy as making a pinch gesture on the home screen and entering your passcode.
Any apps hidden by Spore will not be accessible from anywhere outside of the Hidden Space, even if someone found a loophole. On top of hiding them from your home screen, Spore also hides apps from Spotlight, Siri suggestions, App Store. Spore allows you to completely hide any apps from your device while still having easy access to them in the Hidden Space.
